Baker & McKenzie offers plenty of opportunities to get involved with sporting and social activities with colleagues and clients.

Sport

The London office has active football, mixed hockey, cricket and netball teams and also participate in the annual Rugby Sevens event .

The London office football team participates in the European Fluency Cup, the Firm's annual inter-office football competition, which is hosted by a different European office each year. In 2012 the tournament was held in Budapest, and previous locations include Zurich, Madrid, Amsterdam, Vienna and Warsaw. In 2013 the tournament will be held in Barcelona.

The London office hockey team particpates in a bi-annual hockey tournament involving the London and Amsterdam offices which is hosted in either London or Amsterdam.

We provide subsidised membership to two health clubs near the office, or you can request a subsidy for membership of a gym closer to home.

Social life

All employees are invited to our monthly Friday Night Drinks event, an informal drinks reception taking place in our office. In addition, we hold an office wide Christmas party, a black tie event held at a prestigious London venue.

Each department holds its own social events, including trainee welcome drinks, which act as an excellent opportunity for trainees to get to know a range of people across their department in an informal setting.
